19 Apr European funding for projects by horticultural companies, the University of Amsterdam and other knowledge institutions
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) has awarded a grant to the Green Innovation Cluster project. The project aims to translate knowledge from knowledge institutes like the University of Amsterdam into concrete product and service innovations for businesses. These innovations will significantly contribute to strengthening the competitive position of the horticultural sector.
Under the name Green Innovation Cluster, 12 concrete ideas and projects have been developed to sustainably strengthen the economic strength of horticulture, particularly the floriculture cluster and the plant breeding industry, in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area. The University of Amsterdam is involved in half of the projects. Amsterdam Green Campus is a co-initiator of this application.
