Biodiversity Perspective
Project description
Problem
In recent decades there has been a decline in biodiversity, we also speak of the biodiversity crisis. Important groups of animal and plant species are threatened in their existence. Biodiversity is important for society and certainly also for agriculture. However, the agricultural sector can also play an important role in restoring biodiversity by farming differently and thus working towards a healthy agricultural and food system.
This transition to nature-inclusive agriculture and nature-inclusive thinking and working requires a different vision and new knowledge and skills. Learning in practice, with entrepreneurs who are already working on this in their company or want to work on it, is an important part of this program.
Approach
The aim of the programme is to build a knowledge network with all participating parties. We will develop and share knowledge, experiment and research. The programme has a duration of four years. With the premise that the new knowledge and skills will really get a place in education and a permanent knowledge network.
Expected result
The Biodivers Perspective program creates an inspiring and stimulating learning environment for students, teachers, entrepreneurs and all other parties for whom nature-inclusive learning is important. In this partnership between companies, organizations and educational institutions, steps are taken together towards a nature-inclusive agriculture and biodiverse living environment.
